Tears of sadness,
Tears of sympathy.
Tears of sorrow,
Tears of incomprehensibility.
Earth has spoken from its deepest heart,
Defenceless humans listened to its scream.
The loss is endless,
There are no words.
And I feel useless,
Incapable to assist
In putting right Mother Nature’s harm.
Writing from my sofa,
With my favourite pen,
I feel conscious,
As well as frightened,
Of sudden events
Taking over
Our sheltered,
Comfortable lives.
